Former DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and PASSIONS star Jesse Metcalfe hosted the 20th World Music Awards 2008 last night with singer Michelle Williams on The CW. The ceremony was actually taped last month in Monte Carlo.
Back on Nov. 9, while in Monaco for the awards, Metcalfe was in a wheelchair and could "barely walk" after falling 40 feet from a nightclub balcony. Metcalfe was sitting on the ledge of a second-story balcony when he toppled backwards and fell to the ground. The accident knocked the 29-year-old unconscious and fractured his leg.
A spokesman said: "I have just come from the hospital and he is bearing up ok. He can barely walk as he hasn't got much movement in his legs.
