NBC extends stay of execution for DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Nicholas Fonseca at Entertainment Weekly writes: "As glad as I am to see DAYS given yet another reprieve, I can't say I've sat through an episode fully absorbed in years. The show has been in a creative slump for a while now, there isn't a single storyline currently holding my interest, and I'm not sure that NBC has the money (or the desire) to save what is admittedly one of the last of a dying breed. But we'll see. In the meantime I, like any loyal soap fan, will keep tuning in tomorrow, ready to spend another 42 minutes with my beautiful, clueless, dazzling, and inane friends in Salem, U.S.A."

"He's in Topanga Canyon, still on Days of Our Lives—my white-haired papa, handsome, gorgeous man that he is. Always asking me to do something for the Greek community."

Closet Case ATWT
From the new TV Guide print edition: "Lucinda Walsh clearly has no gaydar. On November 19, the cancer-stricken cougar will marry Brian Wheatley in an impromptu hospital wedding. But get this: After the nuptials, Brian comes upon Lucinda's drunken grandson, Luke and lays a kiss on the gay teen. At first, Luke is way too blotto to remember what happened. But how long can Brian keep his little secret?"
LYNN LICCARDO: Identification
"...as important as seeing soap characters who reflect our demographic markers, even more important is seeing characters who reflect our personal characteristics - good and bad."
SheWired on AMC's Reese and Bianca
Tracy E. Gilchrist writes: "Either the fat cats in ABC programming are trying to lure the unemployed slacker dude and stay-at-home-dads into watching ALL MY CHILDREN when the kiddies are in school, or there are more than a few housewives who’re itching for Sapphic storylines while baking proverbial hetero meatloaf. Anyway… I need an ice cube on the back of my neck and a fan to watch Eden Riegel’s Bianca and Tamara Braun’s Reese in a few rather steamy daytime make out sessions."
November: National Epilepsy Awareness Month Actress and Hunter Tylo Turns Tragic Loss Into Hope
November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. The American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation (AEOF) joins with Hunter Tylo of CBS's THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL in a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of Epilepsy and educate the public on first-aid tips for someone experiencing a seizure.
"Since Mickey's death, I joined with American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation to raise public awareness about Epilepsy. Together we created PSAs which bring Epilepsy to millions of viewers. This information can save a life. Everyone needs to learn the facts about Epilepsy," said Tylo. "Epilepsy can be very serious. It is my goal to work with the American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation to support those who suffer and to educate so others do not experience the great loss I have."
