INTERVIEW: DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Nadia Bjorlin
Bjorlin tells TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco: "I still believe there’s a future for me on prime time and film. The reason I returned was because Days kept calling me to come back to the show. I actually signed with DAYS the day before the strike was announced. Obviously, there were promises of great story. Also, most actors knew Hollywood would be screwed up for a while due to the impending strike, so it seemed like a no-brainer to me to return. Honestly, I did miss DAYS, too. You know, Days has always felt like a home to me. So, it seemed like great timing. We’ll see — I have a year left on my contract."
SARA A. BIBEL: I’m Meh About Paris In The Fall
"I am trying to be enthusiastic about THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS’s Paris remote. It’s an actual international, multi-episode location shoot in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. It showcases veteran characters and promises the resurrection of two of the show’s classic romances : Nick/Sharon and Victor/Ashley. So why aren’t I loving every minute? Right now, I’m more intrigued by Marge’s death by low-tech shaky camera car accident."
Kate Linder: The Gold Standard
If you’re Kate Linder, you don’t quit your job as a United Airlines flight attendant because you’re cast for a one-day, one-line role on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Linder has done both jobs simultaneously for the 26 years she’s been on the #1 rated show (that’s #1 every single week for 18 years!) in daytime television -- with the resulting confusion among passengers creating hilarious anecdotes! The passenger/fan response has been overwhelming and incredulous. Linder is also active with the USO, visiting troops shipping out and in Afghanistan and Pakistan and in Guantanamo Bay. In late ’05, Linder was elected Governor of the Daytime Programming Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (yup, the folks who put on the Emmys), she was reelected last year.

Now Screening | Hollywood Webisodes
Internet videos — the phenomenon that started with “virals” like “the Numa Numa Dance” and skits like Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s “The Landlord” on FunnyorDie.com — are suddenly being taken seriously by Hollywood. Where Barry Diller and Terry Semel pioneered the road to online for TV and movie executives, dozens are now following.
ATWT: Say Goodbye to Saint Luke
Van Hansis tells Soap Opera Weekly's Mala Bhattacharjee: "Oh, yeah, it's been great to play [Luke's fall from grace], because you can only do so much with a character that is, for the most part, 100 percent good. You can only take it to certain places, because nobody's like that — everybody does bad things; everybody. So to have a good character — because I do think that Luke is essentially still a good character — doing bad things and making bad decisions, that's some of the most fun stuff to play as an actor."
90210 has 2.73 million viewers last night
That would have put them slightly ahead of DAYS OF OUR LIVES for fourth place on the daytime drama ratings charts last week.
