Former GL star Kevin Bacon, brother Michael to rock Gettysburg
Nine years older than brother Kevin, Michael couldn't wait to get out of their parent's Philadelphia residence, where electric guitars were banned. As soon as Michael left for college, he bought his first electric guitar and formed a rock band. In his third year of school, he left to be part of the band Good News, which signed on with Columbia Records. He toured all over the country, while little brother Kevin watched.
"It just kind of imprinted me - something that would be great and fun to do with your life," Kevin Bacon said.
Y&R's Gross to become B&O Railroad museum spokesman
The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum has tapped THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS actor Michael Gross to be its first-ever spokesperson.
Gross will appear in a museum film that welcomes visitors and will make public appearances at museum fund-raising events. B&O spokeswoman Stefanie Hare said Gross is performing the work pro bono because of his interest in railroads. Museum officials hope Gross’ efforts will elevate the museum’s profile and gain resources for education and preservation programs.
