Evening News

Perez Hilton: Don't Mess With The Gays! The producers of the CBS soap opera AS THE WORLD TURNS are being pressured to write in more on-screen intimacy between the popular gay couple on the show.

TMZ: Angry Viewers Demand Gay Love. There's plenty of making out happening on AS THE WORLD TURNS, but fictional boyfriends Luke Snyder and Noah Mayer are getting very little action. The couple hasn't kissed on screen since September!

TV Squad: Gay fans demand more love on AS THE WORLD TURNS. It was big news when As the World Turns, CBS and Procter & Gamble's 52-year-old daytime drama, presented a gay love story between two men. When Luke Snyder (Van Hansis) admitted to Noah Mayer (Jake Silbermann) that he loved him, it was a major step forward for the soap opera genre. However, fans of the show are upset. No, they're okay with them being gay. They just want them to be more affectionate.

TV Guide: Things are heating up for Luke and Noah on AS THE WORLD TURNS — but it's not their sex lives. Instead, fans of the show are waging a campaign against the way the show has handled the couple's on-screen intimacy, which is to say, barely at all. While other couples suck face freely in daytime drama ecstasy, the fictional gay couple has locked lips exactly twice in the course of their TV relationship.
