New York Times: Actors from the CBS soap opera GUIDING LIGHT rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday morning, capping a month of promotions ahead of the Friday introduction of a “new visual style” for the show. John Driscoll (Henry Cooper Bradshaw), Gina Tognoni (Dinah Marler), Nicole Forester (Cassie Layne Lewis) and Robert Bogue (A.C. Mallet) participated in the ringing. When the first new episode, shot with hand-held cameras, airs on CBS on Friday, the changes will be immediately obvious to fans. “The show leaves behind eight sets and expands to 40 permanent sets,” CBS said, and 20 percent of scenes will be shot on location in Peapack, New Jersey.

ESPN: Baseball player Torii Hunter is making a big career transformation, going from small-market star to big-market ballplayer which now includes activities like filming a commercial with ALL MY CHILDREN star Cameron Mathison.

The Oregonian: The rabid fans of AS THE WORLD have whipped themselves into a frenzy in the last few days. The problem? The show's pair of gay lovers, Luke and Noah, are apparently not being allowed to kiss on the air.

Shropshire Star: CORONATION STREET actor Simon Gregson today said he has learned his lesson about drinking and driving after attending a rehabilitation course run by a Shropshire organisation.The 32-year-old actor, who plays Steve McDonald in the soap, has also appealed to people never to drink and drive.
