News Brief

Cinematical: Michelle Stafford, who has spent the last several years playing Phyllis Summers Abbott Newman on "The Young and the Restless," has grabbed the lead in a new indie project called 3 Days Gone. She'll play a detective in a rather interesting little thriller. The IMDb plot outline says: "Lucas Snow was buried alive and has lost 3 days of his life. His best friend is murdered and the two top crime bosses are hunting him down as well as the police. Will he find out who set him up?" The film will hit theaters this May.

New York Daily News: SPOILER: Viki and Marcie finally run into each other Monday on "One Life to Live," which forces the fugitive Marcie to make her most desperate move yet. "When she walks into the diner, Viki is stunned," says Erika Slezak (Viki). "Marcie is equally stunned to see Viki in a waitress uniform." Viki goes to call the police, but "Marcie pulls a gun," says Slezak. "Viki is more than surprised. She is trying to resolve this in the most peaceful and best way possible for Marcie. She wants her to turn herself in. But then police sirens appear because John and Todd have followed them there. They are totally trapped."

Tulsa World: First Wisteria Lane, now Laribee High School … When in need of ratings, hit ’em with a tornado. This week’s target: “Friday Night Lights.” The twister forces the hometown Dillon Panthers football team to share their weight room, football field and lockers with (gasp) their opponents.

Worcester Telegram: Cameron Mathison is putting himself up for auction. It’s to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, an industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising organization. The 38-year-old star of the ABC daytime soap opera “All My Children” will host a March 2 show at The Town Hall on West 43rd Street to benefit the charity.

Knoxville News Sentinel: In a move to capture viewers who used to watch daytime soaps, "All My Children" and "General Hospital" are bringing back cherished actors, hoping that fan favorites such as Rebecca Budig, Debbi Morgan, Darnell Williams and Sarah Brown will lure back viewers who wandered away.

Tech2: If you happen to be a hardcore fan of Indian soap operas who travels a lot and doesn’t want to miss your favorite serial, here's some good news. Rajshri Productions' Rajshri Media, which was set up last year to focus on new media entertainment such as mobile phones and the Internet and claims to be "India's #1 Broadband Portal", is getting ready to launch the first ever 90-episode serial for mobile devices.

DVD Empire: Wounded Heart, a film made by "As The World Turns" star Jon Hensley in the 90s is finally out on DVD.

AfterElton: Fans of Luke and Noah on "As The World Turns" have launched the "Kiss Campaign".
