Sean Kanan, former cast member on The Bold and the Beautiful, faces yet another DUI case. The soap star is currently charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or higher. According to TMZ.com, Kanan pleads not guilty to the DUI allegations put forward earlier this summer.
The former B&B actor was arrested on August 18 for suspicion of DUI but was able to post bail for $30,000. He was then summoned to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom on September 17, in which he pleaded not guilty. Prior to this, he was convicted of DUI in 1998.
If found guilty the second time around, he faces a minimum sentence of 96 hours or 4 days in jail. But if condemned with the maximum sentence, he could face up to one year in prison.
According to court papers obtained by TMZ.com, prosecutors claim that Kanan "willfully and unlawfully [drove] a vehicle while being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and a drug and under the combined influence of an alcoholic beverage and a drug."
