Soap stars come to Tallahassee

On Sunday, the I Wanna Be a Soap Star Live! tour rolls into Tallahassee and sets up shop inside the Civic Center. On hand will be actors James Scott, E. J. Wells from Days of our Lives, and Alec Musser, Del Henry from All My Children. Cameron Mathison, host of I Wanna Be a Soap Star, will be there, too.

Several casting directors on the soap tour will select 20 potential actors and actresses from the Tallahassee audience to act out scenes on stage from audition scripts. One lucky person will win a trip to Los Angeles and a chance to compete for a walk-on role in Days of our Lives. You must be at least 18 to audition.

There will be a make-up artists on hand offering free make-overs and professional head shots.

If you're a DISH Network customer, you can also enter to win a trip to Los Angeles and seats to the live finale of the reality show, I Wanna Be a Soap Star. The winner will also have lunch with talent manager Michael Bruno. Auditions for the trip will be at a DISH booth.

Registration at the Civic Center, 505 West Pensacola Street, begins at 11 a.m. Audition registration closes at 3 p.m. Auditions and other activities are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
