InTurn winner Ryan Serhant, who will soon start a stint on As The World Turns, is currently in rehearsals for a new play, "Purple Hearts" which previews on September 5, 2007 and opens the next night.
Winner of the Edinburgh International Festival's "Best of the Fest" Award, "Purple Hearts" is based on real events: For as long as three weeks after the attack, soldiers survived aboard the sunken vessel U.S.S. West Virginia, waiting to be rescued. At the bottom of the sea, trapped under impossible conditions, they struggled to keep hope -- and themselves -- alive. The descent begins December 7, 1941.
