Marc Cherry didn't get his dream casting of David Beckham and Robbie Williams for Desperate Housewives. Instead, actors Tuc Watkins (from One Life to Live) and Kevin Rahm have been tapped to play Susan's gay neighbors, Bob and Lee. But here's the interesting part: Cherry named the couple after ABC News' Bob Woodruff and his wife Lee, whom Cherry is close friends with.
Meanhile, Andrea Bowen will bag herself a new onscreen lover in the new series of the hit US show.
Bowen, 17, who plays Teri Hatcher's daughter, Julie, spoke of her excitement at the new storyline.
"I hear that I get another new love interest so that could always be interesting. I don't know who it will be, don't know when that'll happen but supposedly that's on the horizon, so I'm kind of excited about that.” she said.
“I think it's fun. It's something that's very realistic for my character's age. I think that it's something else for me to explore and it's always fun to do that.
