US cable television distributor Time Warner Cable and Disney have announced that they have entered into multi-year distribution agreements that will extend retransmission consent for the ABC-owned broadcast television stations carried in Time Warner Cable systems, and provide for Disney’s networks and services.
These include ABC Family, Disney Channel, ESPN, ESPN HD, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, ESPNEWS, ESPN Pay-Per-View, SOAPnet, and Toon Disney.
Various Disney fare will join Time Warner's Start Over platform, which enables digital-cable subscribers to restart live in-progress programming without pre-planning or the aid of recording devices. Fare to be made available beginning May 1 to the seven Time Warner systems offering Start Over includes ABC-owned daytime dramas General Hospital and All My Children supplied by Soapnet.
