Corrie court drama pulls in 11.8 million

Tracy Barlow's trial on Coronation Street attracted an average of 11.8 million viewers to ITV1 last night.

The 8.30pm episode, in which Barlow, played by Kate Ford, was found guilty of murdering boyfriend Charlie Stubbs, took a 50% of the audience.

Having recorded two separate endings for the trial in order to keep fans guessing, the final verdict saw viewing figures peak at 12.6 million.

The soap's earlier outing at 7.30pm managed an average 11.3 million viewers and a 53% share.
