'AMC' soap star sweet on sweet potatoes

The Clarion-Ledger interviewed All My Children star Leven Rambin in today's edition and the topic: cooking.

Q: Of your fellow All My Children co-stars, who has serious cooking skills? Who could hardly boil water?

A: Of my co-stars there are some pretty grade-A chef wannabes, including Aiden Turner, who was once a chef in London, before acting; Justin Bruening, who admits to watching Bobby Flay on the Food Network for tips; and Jeff Branson, who is a very skilled cook! The girls, I haven't heard much about any of their cooking talents! Chrishell Stause and Ambyr Childers always joke about always ordering in because of their complete lack of cooking talent.

Q: A guy wants to impress you with a gift of food or beverage. What is he spending his money on?

A: He would present me with a dinner of marinated chicken stuffed with almonds and cranberries, roasted sweet potatoes and cauliflower, and then a dessert like carrot cake.

Q: It's just you and your girl pals out for lunch in Manhattan. So, where are your favorite spots?

A: For lunch with my girlfriends we usually do brunch on Sundays since I work during the week. We enjoy omelets and scones from Sarabeth's. They are homemade and delicious. Or we go to Alice's Tea Cup on the Upper West Side for amazing tea, sandwiches and scones. We like to top it off with some Tasti D-Lite.
