'The Bold and the Beautiful' Casting Transgender Actor

The Bold and the Beautiful is seeking a transgender actor or actress of any ethnicity for four shows (and possibly more). The character is described as "a strong, confidant person who’s completed their transition and is mentoring other Trans people."

The role will begin shooting on April 7.

“One of the first questions I asked [“B&B” executive producer] Brad [Bell] and also Patrick [Mulcahey], who’s one of the writers, is, ‘Why me, as a cisgendered woman, playing this role, instead of a transgender woman?” Mosley said in a video with Bell released by CBS on March 19. “And Brad informed me that we would be hiring transgender actors, which is incredibly important.”
