Then again, look where Erica is on this list and look where the other saint, Jo from Search for Tomorrow, is as well.robinneilfletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12267926646697246704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-10061026052744117522010-01-31T21:12:09.170-05:002010-01-31T21:12:09.170-05:00Wow! While growing up watching GL, Charita/Bert was the tv version of my grandmother - caring, comforting, compassionate, wise, sharp as a tack, funny, sassy, no-nonsense. What an amazing human being and role model.samxarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00467526343752373412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-48896552406213422762010-01-18T22:05:36.918-05:002010-01-18T22:05:36.918-05:00I totally agree, Roger. The show certainly suffered from her passing. I'm so glad YouTube exists for us to view some of the classic clips of her from the 1950's and 1960's.Zane Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14508795707643124821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-90792679182960614262010-01-18T09:38:54.011-05:002010-01-18T09:38:54.011-05:00I, too, thought of Charita Bauer as a mother. When Charita was going through her difficulties, with her leg amputation, it was comforting for me to know that she was just a few miles away from me, at the Burke Rehabilitation Center, here in Westchester. Coincidentally, 9 years later, my wife (at that time 62 years of age) graduated from the Burke Rehabilitation Center's program for Certified Home Health Aides, receiving special commendations from the Governor and County Executive. I felt Charita's spirit, walking through the halls of the hospital, and felt her smiling down on my wife and me.<br /> Losing Charita in 1985, had been like losing my mother all over again.Old and Curioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05496735912822900799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-2081826858273245332010-01-18T09:36:06.441-05:002010-01-18T09:36:06.441-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Old and Curioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05496735912822900799noreply@blogger.com
