1957: On The Edge of Night, Mike Karr (John Larkin) told Charley (Ian Martin) that he intended to pursue Harry until he admitted to murdering Marilyn.

1968: On Dark Shadows, Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) attacked the woman (Anita Bolster) that Joshua Collins and Countess Natalie DuPres had summoned to Collinwood to cure him.



1978: On The Doctors, Matt (James Pritchett) told his pregnant daughter, Greta (Jennifer Houlton), to let her mother know about her condition.

1978: On One Life to Live, Melinda (Jane Badler) told Peter (Jeff Pomerantz) she could no longer see him because Dorian told her that she was Peter's lover.



1978: On Days of our Lives, Amanda spotted Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) outside Larry Atwood's house. After Amanda entered the house, she found that he had been murdered.

1982: On As the World Turns, Mr. Big (the late Brent Collins) kidnapped Tom (Justin Deas) and Margo (Margaret Colin).

1983: On General Hospital, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) arrested Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) for perjury.



1985: On Days of our Lives, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso) decided to elope.

1988: On All My Children, Stuart Chandler (David Canary) proposed to Cindy Parker (Ellen Wheeler).

1989: Meg Bennett made her first appearance as Megan Richardson on Santa Barbara.

1991: On Santa Barbara, Sophia (Judith McConnell) found out that she had inherited the Armonti tiara, which had a curse on it.

1991: On NBC's Dark Shadows primetime remake, Victoria Winters' (Joanna Going) witchcraft trial began in 1790, and Angelique's (Lysette Anthony) spirit tried to stop Barnabas Collins (Ben Cross) from making Josette DuPres his vampire bride. Back in current time, Angelique possessed Dr. Julia Hoffman (Barbara Steele).

2000: On Guiding Light, Richard told Noah that Cassie was everything he ever wanted.



2009: Primetime soap opera Kings debuted on NBC. The series' narrative was loosely based on the Biblical story of King David, yet set in a kingdom that culturally and technologically resembled the present-day United States. It starred Ian McShane as King Silas Benjamin (King Saul) and Chris Egan as Captain David Shepherd (David). Watch the trailer below:

2011: James Pritchett, best known to daytime soap opera fans as Dr. Matt Powers in THE DOCTORS, died at age 88.
