1967: Dark Shadows' Maggie struggled to retain her identity.
1981: Another World's Cecile told Rachel that Mac had a son.
2004: Days of our Lives' Alice was very much alive.
2005: The truth about One Life to Live's Daniel was exposed.

On this date in...

1964: On Another World, Mary (Virginia Dwyer) pleaded with Pat (Susan Trustman) to get a chaperone for her weekend with Tom.

1967: On Dark Shadows, Barnabas (Jonathan Frid) accused Maggie (Kathryn Leigh Scott), dressed in Josette's wedding dress, of trying to leave him.



1981: On Another World, Cecile (Susan Keith) told Rachel (Victoria Wydham) that Sandy Alexander was Mac's biological son.



1984: On Ryan's Hope, Maggie (Cali Timmons) revealed her feelings to Frank (Geoffrey Pierson).



1988: On The Young and the Restless, the Abbotts celebrated Traci's (Beth Maitland) pregnancy.

1992: New Zealand primetime soap Shortland Street premiered.  The show would eventually become the country's longest running soap opera.

1994: At the 21st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winners included All My Children (Drama Series), Michael Zaslow, Hillary B. Smith, Justin Deas, Susan Haskell, Roger Howarth and Melissa Hayden.

1999: The entire cast of Another World assembled on May 25 to tape the show’s final episode, which aired on June 25.

2004: On Days of our Lives, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Alice (Frances Reid) were found alive on Melaswen.  Roman (Josh Taylor) explained to Marlena that they were in a replica of Salem and the murder victims were actually alive.  The show debuted a special opening that day.



2005: On One Life to Live, during a political press conference, Bo Buchanan (Robert S. Woods) arrested Daniel Colson (Mark Dobies) for the murder of Paul Cramer. As questions regarding motivation arose, Rex Balsom (John-Paul Lavoisier) outed Daniel to everyone assembled, including his wife, Nora (Hillary B. Smith), with Daniel's secret lover, Mark Solomon (Matt Cavenaugh) also stepping forward.
