'Mr. Robot' Returns July 13 on USA

USA Network has added two episodes to the Season 2 order for MR. ROBOT, upping the Universal Cable Productions series from 10 episodes to 12 episodes. Sam Esmail, the creator and executive producer of the Golden Globe Award-winning drama, will direct all 12 episodes this season. Additionally, the award-winning series will kick off its second season on Wednesday, July 13 at 10 p.m. ET with a premiere night event that includes two back-to-back episodes -- presented with limited commercial breaks -- and a newly-announced live after show. Providing a behind the scenes look at the breakout drama, the one hour, live HACKING ROBOT after show will air on July 13, immediately following the two episode season premiere.

"The first season of MR. ROBOT was everything we hoped for - and then some," said Chris McCumber, President Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. "So it's no surprise that Sam and team have raised the bar even more in season two. From the first moments of the new season, it'll be clear that audiences are in for something incredibly special and wholly unexpected."

"Strap in! The extraordinary ride that is MR. ROBOT continues with a wild season two. It's a brilliant and immersive journey that demands to be watched again and again," said Jeff Wachtel, Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and President, Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios.

MR. ROBOT follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater). The July 13 episodes, titled eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc and eps2.0_unm4sk-pt2.tc, will pick up 30 days after the now infamous fsociety 5/9 hack on multi-national company Evil Corp. Season 2 will explore the consequences of that attack as well as the illusion of control.

MR. ROBOT stars Golden Globe Award and SAG(R) Award Nominee Malek ("The Pacific"), Golden Globe Award Winner Slater ("Nymphomaniac"), Portia Doubleday ("Her"), Carly Chaikin ("Suburgatory"), Martin Wallstrm ("Simple Simon"), Grace Gummer ("The Newsroom"), Michael Cristofer ("Ray Donovan") and Stephanie Corneliussen ("Legends of Tomorrow"). New recurring guest stars include Craig Robinson ("The Office"), hip hop artist Joey Bada$$, Sandrine Holt ("Fear The Walking Dead"), Michael Maize ("National Treasure: Book of Secrets"), Dorothi Fox ("Run All Night") and Luke Robertson ("The Americans").
