Scott McKinsey Directed Friday's Episodes of 'Days of our Lives' and 'General Hospital'

Director Scott McKinsey has received more than 20 Emmy nominations during his career, including 6 Daytime Emmy wins alone for his work on ABC soap opera General Hospital. He's also won multiple DGA Awards, and even been nominated for an Indie Series Award. On Friday, October 2, McKinsey achieved a new personal milestone when he was the director on episodes that aired on two different soap operas on two different networks on the same day.

In addition to directing Friday's GH, McKinsey also directed that day's episode of NBC's Days of our Lives.

McKinsey—the son of legendary actress Beverlee McKinsey—began directing at Days this summer, and is now working on both soaps.
