1965: Final episode of ATWT spinoff Our Private World aired.
1984: Syndicated soap opera Rituals premiered.
1999: All My Children's Mateo told Hayley he loved her.
2008: As the World Turns' Aaron and Alison married.

1965: CBS aired the final episode of As the World Turns primetime spin-off, Our Private World. Eileen Fulton moved the character of Lisa Hughes from Oakdale to Chicago for the show, which lasted four months airing twice a week. The series, created by rna Phillips and William J. Bell, was CBS-TV's answer to ABC's popular Peyton Place.

1968: On Another World, Alice Matthews (Jacqueline Courtney) told Missy Palmer (Carol Roux) she thought her sister-in-law, Rachel Davis Matthews (Robin Strasser), wasn't really upset about losing her baby.

1984: On One Life to Live, Maxie McDermott (Christine Ebersole) tried to figure out what was going on with Marco Dane (Gerald Anthony), and whether she should return to Llanview to work for him.



1984: Lorimar's syndicated soap opera Rituals premiered. The series, set in the quiet college town of Wingfield, Virigina, opened as the wealthy Chapin family gathered for the funeral of matriarch Katherine Chapin, which is interrupted by the arrival via helicopter of her flamboyant daughter, Taylor Chapin von Platen (Joann Pflug).

The cast included Dennis Patrick as Patrick Chapin, Marc Poppel as Brady Chapin, Andrea Moar as Julia Chapin Field, Monte Markham as Carter Robertson, Christine Jones as Christina Robertson, Tim Maier as Jeff Robertson, George Lazenby as Logan Williams, Kin Shriner as Mike Gallagher, Philece Sampler as Lacy Jarrett, Kevin Blair as Tom Gallagher, Karen Kelly as Noel Gallagher, Gina Gallego as Diandra Santiago, Sharon Farrell as Cherry Lane, Claire Yarlett as Dakota Lane, Lorinne Vozoff as Sarah Gallagher, and Greg Mullavey as Eddie Gallagher.

1985: Carl Anderson made his first appearance in Days of our Lives. He sang the duet "Friends and Lovers" with Gloria Loring.

1985: On Santa Barbara, Gina DeMott (Linda Gibboney) had Sophia Capwell's (Judith McConnell) things moved out of the guest house, as CC Capwell was brought home from the hospital.



1993: Actor Mark Tapscott died at age 68. He played Bob Anderson in Days of our Lives and Earl Bancroft in The Young and the Restless.

1998: On As the World Turns, Lily Snyder (Martha Byrne) gave birth to a baby girl, Faith.

1999: On All My Children, Mateo Santos (Mark Consuelos) made it clear to Hayley Vaughan (Kelly Ripa) that he still loved her.



2007: Actress Jane Wyman died at age 90. Soap fans remember her fondly for her portrayal of Angela Channing in Falcon Crest.

2008: On As the World Turns, Alison Stewart (Marnie Schulenburg) married Aaron Snyder (Agim Kaba), even though she made love with Chris Hughes (Dylan Bruce) the day before.



2010: On Days of our Lives, Will Horton (Chandler) learned EJ DiMera (James Scott) was shot in the head last night. Will rushed to see his mother, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and told her he saw her at the DiMera mansion holding a gun.



2011: Actor Cliff Robertson, who played Dr. Michael Ranson in Falcon Crest, died at age 88.
