Telemundo Studios has announced the production kick off in its new telenovela Quién es quién, starring Danna Paola, Eugenio Siller, Laura Flores and Kimberly Dos Ramos. The romantic comedy tells the story of twin brothers who live separate lives until fate reunites them and forces them to switch places, thrusting them into some sticky situations and others that are downright humorous. Filmed in Miami and Los Angeles, Quién es quién is directed by Luis Manzo (Tierra de Reyes, Santa Diabla) with a script by Laura Sosa (En otra piel). Joshua Mintz and Carmen Urbaneja (Tierra de Reyes, En otra piel) serve as executive producers.

Full of thrills, contrasts and humor, Quién es quién is Danna Paola’s first production for Telemundo. She plays the role of Paloma, a single mother who works at a flower stand. Over the course of the story, Paloma overcomes her distrust of the opposite sex and finds love with a man she never expected to care for.

Sharing top billing is Eugenio Siller, who, for the first time in his career, takes on the challenge of playing two characters at once: Pedro (“Perico”) and Leonardo, twin brothers separated at birth by a dark secret, and reunited years later through an accidental trick of fate. In the midst of coincidence and confusion, destiny and love conspire to intertwine the lives of these two men, who may be identical in appearance but have completely distinct personalities.

The production also marks the return of leading lady Laura Flores to Telemundo in the role of Inés, a determined woman who lets nothing stand in the way of her family’s well-being. But malice, resentment and intrigue come her way in the form of the charismatic Fernanda Manrique, played by Kimberly Dos Ramos, who puts her incomparable talent to work to portray a villain whose beauty hides a bottomless thirst for revenge.

Joining these stars is a supporting cast featuring Jonathan Islas, Carlos Espejel, Guillermo Quintanilla, Gabriel Valenzuela, Marissa del Portillo, Sandra Desteneve, Fernando Carrera, Isabella Castillo, Daniela Wong, Maite Embil, Gabriel Rossi, Kenya Hijuelos, Ruben Morales, Oka Giner, Adrian Di Monti, Isabel Moreno, Alex Ruiz, Silvana Arias, Armando Torrea, Maria del Pilar, Sofia Reca, Fernando Pacanins, Nicolas Magniole, Daniela Macias and Gisella Abounrad.

  1. Que tal y buenos dia!

Could any tv show in Spanish or English be funnier than Quien es Quien on @Telemundo?

    No!

Last night, Leonardo, who still thinks he is Perico because he still has amnesia, learned that he has lost his singing ability along with his memory.

    He's a good sport though.

He is slowly moving away from being a germaphobe who won't touch anyone to being a Mariachi who is trying to make time with Paloma even though he thinks he is engaged to Coco, which he is not.

    Meanwhile,

Leonardo's twin Perico, who knows he is not Leonardo but keeps up the charade because he wants to win Fernanda in real life and not just in his dreams, plus he likes having a driver, continues to confuse his entire non-family because he is nice and kind, qualities his family are not known for.

Apparently, Leonardo and his father Humberto are evil ruthless businessmen, like the Donald Trumps of Novelaville, and that is why Fernanda was going to marry Leonardo: to get her revenge on him for the destruction of her family at his family's hands.

One of the things I love about telenovelas is that people obtain revenge on others by marrying them, which shows you how closely novelas reflect our lives.

    #QuienEsQuien is a BLAST!!
