The Season 3 premiere of The Haves and the Have Nots on OWN set a new network record with 3.3 million total viewers – the most-watched season premiere in Oprah Winfrey Network history.

The Tuesday, June 30 premiere was also the highest-rated telecast in series history among the network’s core W25-54 demo (2.80 rating).

The episode was the highest-rated Tuesday night cable telecast in 2015 to date among W25-54. Additionally, the premiere ranked as the night's #1 cable telecast among W25-54 and W18-49, making OWN the night’s #1 cable network among W25-54 and W18-49.

In the premiere, an angry Veronica (Angela Robinson) started a fire that destroyed the mansion and almost claimed David's (Peter Parros) life. Meanwhile, Jeffery (Gavin Houston) and Landon (Kristian Kordula) woke up in bed together, but Jeffery eventually admitted that he was in love with someone else—but his crush is straight and not interested in him. Later, Wyatt (Aaron O'Connell) showed up and Landon figured out that Wyatt was the object of Jeffery's affection.
