1967: Dark Shadows' Maggie remained frustrated locked in a cell.
1983: General Hospital faced a hostage crisis.  1993: As the World
Turns' Hal and Barbara were remarried. 1996: All My Children's

On this date in...

1967: On Dark Shadows, locked in a cell in the Old House basement, Maggie Evans (Kathryn Leigh Scott) opened the music box when she heard Barnabas (Jonathan Frid) coming, pretending that she had been listening to it. He didn't believe her and left Maggie frustrated in the cell.



1976: On Another World, Pat (Beverly Penberthy) admitted to Marianne (Ariane Muenker) she was in love with Dave (David Ackroyd).

1983: On General Hospital, Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) were held hostage at the hospital.



1984: On Guiding Light, Mike Bauer (Don Stewart) toasted to the future at a dinner party, while Beth (Judi Evans) and Lujack (Vincent Irizarry) roasted hotdogs on the beach.



1989: Christopher Bernau, who played Alan Spaulding on Guiding Light (1977-1984, 1986-1988) and Philip Todd in Dark Shadows (1969-1970), died at age 49.

1989: Roscoe Born debuted on Santa Barbara as Robert Barr.

1993: On As the World Turns, Hal (Benjamin Hendrickson) and Barbara (Colleen Zenk) were remarried in Alva, Kentucky on the porch of Hal's sister, Claire. Meanwhile, Royce Keller (Terry Lester) revealed to Lucinda Walsh a.k.a. Mary Ellen Walters (Elizabeth Hubbard) that he and Neal were her siblings.

1996: On All My Children, Brian (Matt Borlenghi) and Hayley (Kelly Ripa) tried to relive their prom.



2001: On The Bold and the Beautiful, Kristen (Tracy Melchior) told an angry Sofia (Sandra Vidal) that she was going to the press party as Tony's date.
