On this date in...

1941: On The Guiding Light, the day of Mary (Sarajane Wells) and Ned's (Ed Prentiss) wedding finally arrived.

1966: The very first scenes for Dark Shadows were taped.

1981: On Another World, Cecile (Nancy Frangione) told Sandy (Christopher Rich) she thinks Jamie is secretly seeing Marianne. Later, Cecile wasn't in the mood when Jamie (Richard Bekins) wanted to become intimate.



1982: At the 9th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winners included Guiding Light (Drama Series, Writing), Anthony Geary, Robin Strasser, David Lewis and Dorothy Lyman.

1990: Days of our Lives aired a special opening that was used during the Cruise of Deception storyline.



1991: On Another World, Cass (Stephen Schnetzer) told Kathleen (Julie Osburn) he wanted to start a new life with her while Ryan (Paul Michael Valley) rushed Frankie (Alice Barrett) to the hospital. An enraged Jake (Tom Eplin) confronted Paulina (Cali Timmins) over her betrayal.

1991: Roscoe Born aired for the final time as Robert on Santa Barbara.

1996: On All My Children, Trevor (James Kiberd) could not feel his legs.



1996: On Another World, Donna (Anna Stuart) escaped from her hospital room.



2009: On Guiding Light, Olivia (Crystal Chappell) and Natalia (Jessica Leccia) talked about the future of their relationship.



2009: Rachel Melvin aired for the final time as Chelsea Brady in Days of our Lives.
