1967: Dark Shadows' Victoria did not want Carolyn to go into
the locked room.  1982:  GH's Laura Templeton did not want to
leave Port Charles.  1985: Days' Anna and Tony made love.
2002: Passions' Theresa confessed to Julian's murder.

On this date in...

1950: On Irna Phillips' Today's Children, Chris knew the only way to determine whether the fingerprints on the package were Janis's was to ask his mother to get Janis to touch something and then have it inspected by the lab.

1961: On The Edge of Night, Mike (John Larkin), Ed (Larry Hagman) and Teresa (Rebecca Sand) faced death in a deserted mine shaft.

1967: On Dark Shadows, Carolyn (Nancy Barrett) was determined to look at her father's things in the locked room, despite Victoria's pleas against it.



1977: Actress Joan Crawford, who once filled in for her daughter Christina on the CBS daytime soap opera The Secret Storm, died at age 72.

1978: On One Life to Live, Bonnie (Kim Zimmer) and Herman (Edmund Genest) made plans to drive to Llanview, staying with their associate, Greg, in Philadelphia, which was a five-minute drive from Llanview. Bonnie told Herman that Greg was just as committed to their cause (seeing Paul Kendall dead) as they were.



1982: On General Hospital, Laura Templeton (Janine Turner) caused a scene at the airport when Jackie (Demi) tried to make her leave Port Charles.

1984: On Dynasty, Krystle (Linda Evans) and Blake (John Forsythe) Carrington's daughter, Kristina, was born prematurely.

1985: On Days of our Lives, Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley) shared a very romantic evening until Tony revealed he was just "play acting" the whole time. Anna was furious and tried to make him understand why all the "trappings" of romance were important, which led to the two of them making love.



1985: On Dallas, Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Pam (Victoria Principal) reunited as J.R. (Larry Hagman) tried to have Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) committed again for her alcoholism.

1988: On The Young and the Restless, Traci (Beth Maitland) told Brad (Don Diamont) that she might already be pregnant.

1990: Actress Susan Oliver died at age 61. She played Ann Howard in ABC's primetime serial Peyton Place, and replaced Susan Flannery as Laura Horton on Days of our Lives in 1975.

1991: On Another World, Iris (Carmen Duncan) walked in on Sharlene (Anna Holbrook) "threatening" Taylor (Christine Andreas). Meanwhile, Cass (Stephen Schnetzer) and Kathleen (Julie Osburn) grew closer when she helped him out at the office.



1999: CBS aired the 11,000th episode of As the World Turns.

2002: On Passions, Theresa (Lindsay Hartley) confessed to Julian's murder in order to save Ethan.



2009: Actress Roya Megnot, who played Ava Rescott in the ABC daytime drama Loving in the 1980s, died at age 46.
