'Days of our Lives' Star Deidre Hall Joins 'Club 5150'

Deidre Hall
Three-time Emmy-nominated actress Deidre Hall, best known for her long running role as Dr. Marlena Evans on NBC soap opera Days Of our Lives, has joined the cast of the upcoming digital series Club 5150.

Hall will play Nadine, the mother of Jennifer Elise Cox's Angela.

Show creator Steve Silverman describes the character as “poor but never broke, down but never out - a tough fighter who only wants to see her children do better in life than she did.”

“I had the pleasure of directing Deidre previously,” adds Silverman. “She’s a delight to work with and I think the audience is going to love seeing her take on some dark comedy.”

Hall, whose impressive resume includes Our House, Murder, She Wrote and Woman on the Ledge, is no stranger to the web world, having received an Indie Series Award Best Supporting Actress nomination for Dating in the Middle Ages.

She follows previously announced cast members Jennifer Elise Cox, Michael Caruso, Crystal Carson, Ray Proscia, Eden Riegel, Mary Gallagher, Wayne Wilderson, Lee Sherman and Sharon Houston to the project.

“Deidre’s character, Nadine, plays a key part to the twist in Club 5150,” explains Silverman, “And if that’s not enough, our series launch will coincide right around the same time Days celebrates their 50th anniversary on the air.”

Deidre Hall has emerged as one of America’s most beloved actresses having created the role of Dr. Marlena Evans in 1976 on the Emmy-winning series Days of our Lives. She was named Best Television Role Model, won the prestigious America Women in Radio and Television award in 1994, garnered five Best Actress awards from Soap Opera Digest, and broke new ground for daytime stars when she guested on shows including The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Night of 100 Stars 2, and 20/20, at the birth of her surrogate son. Recognizing her continuing appeal, in 1990, the Hallmark Company chose Hall as celebrity spokesperson for their new card line, “To Kids With Love.” Hall has been named one of America’s ten most beautiful women by TV Guide and Satellite Orbit and has graced the covers of People, Woman, Woman’s Own, TV Guide, Woman’s World, McCalls, Family Circle, Shape, and more.

Club 5150 will begin filming this August in the Los Angeles area with a release date set for early fall. Production casting alerts go out every Friday.

  1. They were so accommodating and I was truly impressed. It is such a comfortable environment. For a buffet, it was delicious food at event locations. Alcoholic beverages were also great. Overall, this place is great, and my favorite venue in the city.
