'Days of our Lives' Alum Kevin Spirtas Added to 'Winterthorne' Star-Studded Cast

Kevin Spirtas
Former Days of our Lives actor Kevin Spirtas has been tapped to play Dominic Delacort in the new online series, Winterthorne. The character is described as a major player within the family. Dominic has been charged by the Winterthorne women to train their husbands and future husbands in the art of making candy. There is a sense of wonder within him alongside a sense of true bitterness for being controlled by them.

"Kevin is a wonderful actor,” says Michael Caruso, series creator and a 2014 Emmy nominee. “I think what struck me about him as perfect for the part of Dominic is the sense of mischievousness he possesses. Dominic is a character that has been put in a very specific position of power by the Winterthorne women, and yet he's powerless at the same time and we really see him struggle with that."

"Kevin is not only a delightful person, but an incredibly talented actor,” adds series star Martha Madison, “I loved watching him play the devious character of Craig Wesley on Days! He made it fun to root for the bad guy!"

Spirtas, a 30 year veteran actor of Broadway, film, and television, is perhaps, best known to millions around the world as television’s dashing Dr. Craig Wesley, a character he portrayed, for 71/2 years on NBC's Emmy Award Winning drama, Days of our Lives. He is a nominee at this year's Indie Series Awards as part of the Hustling best drama ensemble.

Spirtas’ career began, at 18, when he landed his first professional job as Mike ("I Can Do That") Costa in Michael Bennett’s Broadway seminal musical "A Chorus Line." Spirtas has also starred on Broadway and Regional tours including: "Hairspray," "Meet Me In St. Louis," "Company," "Damn Yankees," and "Into The Woods." A tribute to Spirtas" high-octane talent came when he was cast (over hundreds) as the stand-by for Hugh Jackman in Broadway"s smash hit musical, "The Boy From Oz."

His film credits include Embrace the Darkness, Striking Resemblance, and Green Plaid Shirt. He has been featured opposite Sir Ian McKellen in Bryan Singer's Apt Pupil, Ben Affleck in Mark Steven Johnson's director’s cut of Daredevil and Olympia Dukakis in the movie made for television, A Match Made in Heaven.

Spirtas can also be seen in those fantastic cult classic slasher sequels Friday the 13th VII, Subspecies II, and Subspecies III, Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes II, and Albino Farm.

While continuing his work in film and television, Spirtas also tours the world with his highly acclaimed one-man musical shows "Night & DAYS" and "Let There Be Love."
