Gati was born and raised in Canada by Hungarian immigrants and was brought up in an artistic environment. She subsequently stayed on in Hungary for several years, during which time she starred in multiple films, television series and MOWs, winning additional awards along the way. Her performance in Hungary's biggest hit of the ‘90s, We Never Die (Sose Halunk Meg), made her an extremely popular actress in Eastern and Central Europe. She returned to the states and has worked continuously in New York, Los Angeles and Canada.

Her film credits include Sunshine, The Future, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, American Dream, Trade, Igby Goes Down, ZigZag, The Future, Meet The Fockers, House Bunny, Little Birds and numerous others.

On television, Gati is best known for her recurring roles on General Hospital as Dr. Liesl Obrecht, the Chief Of Staff of General Hospital; two seasons on 24 as Anya Suvarov; Alphas, series regular on both the Drugstore (Hungary) and in the animation series, Me Eloise with Tim Curry and Lynn Redgrave.
