Ratings: 'The Young and the Restless' Up in Total Viewers, W18-49, W18-34

The Live + Same Day daytime ratings are in for the week of December 8-12, 2014. The Young and the Restless averaged 4.76 million viewers, up +4% over the previous week. The program also led the week in both women 25-54 (1.8/12) and women 18-49 (1.2.09). Y&R marked 26 consecutive years as daytime's #1 drama. The show began its winning streak the week of December 26, 1988.

Days' decrease can be attributed to a huge drop in viewers on Friday, the day of President Obama's year-end press conference which pre-empted the show in many markets.
