Two Men Charged in Beating of 'Young and the Restless' Actor Corey Sligh

Corey Sligh was beaten while delivering a meal on Thanksgiving Day.
Two men pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges stemming from a Thanksgiving Day attack on an actor who appeared on The Young and the Restless.

Dusan Lilic and Nikola Ilic face a battery charge for allegedly assaulting and seriously hurting soap opera actor Corey Sligh while he was delivering a Thanksgiving meal to a friend, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Lilic was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence and causing injury.

Sligh was walking to a Rite Aid in Hollywood with his girlfriend and a friend to deliver the meal and spotted a car being driven erratically in the parking lot.

Fearing that someone would get hurt, Sligh told the people in the car to stop and leave, the D.A. said.

Prosecutors say Sligh was struck by their vehicle, which fled the scene. The pair then returned and attacked Sligh, who suffered a broken arm and other injuries, prosecutors said.

Days after the assault, the model and actor tweeted to fans that he hoped "to heal up in the next few weeks with Rehab and family! Thanks for all the love and I'll keep y'all posted."

Sligh's girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, said he was recovering at home.

She told KTLA his injuries will likely affect his acting schedule on The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives.

The suspects remain in custody, with Lilic's bail set at $85,000 and Ilic's at $50,000.

Lilic faces up to seven years in prison and Ilic faces four years in prison if convicted of the charges.
