Soap Opera Ratings: 'The Young and the Restless' Hits 19-Week High

For the week of September 8-12, 2014, CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, which featured a two-day guest appearance by Shemar Moore, delivered its largest weekly audience and best women 18-49 rating since March 28. Y&R averaged 4.70 million viewers (up +3% from the prior week), 1.3/09 in women 18-49 (up +8%) and 2.0/13 in women 25-54 (up +5%).

Meanwhile, ABC's General Hospital performed well across the board despite moving to a new time slot (an hour later) in 8 markets. The show was up in Total Viewers (+39K), Women 18-49 (+24K), Women 18-34 (+1K) and Women 25-54 (+34K).
