  1. Y&R is in the worst creative shape it has ever been in my years of viewing. I admit to being a casual viewer of the soap but it has been considered the "gold standard" for soaps in terms of crafting sophisticated drama and its above-average production quality. In my opinion, the show's storytelling, casting, sets and wardrobe have taken a steep nose-dive since Jill Farren Phelps took the helm. Will CBS/Sony stop the hemorrhaging already? With only four daytime soaps left, why allow the quality to suffer so greatly and lose viewers? Y&R is SO bad that I cannot bear to have it playing in the background while puttering around the house. Occasionally, I would catch a line of dialogue or performance and have to turn the damned TV off!

Where's Michael Goldberg and his take on Y&R?
