1992: Days of our Lives' Brady was born. 1994: General
Hospital's Tony listened to B.J.'s heart in Maxie.

1964: On Another World, Janet (Liza Chapman) learned that her father, Will, had a cardiac condition for the past five years which he kept secret from his family. Note: Another World began just after Will's death.

1967: On Dark Shadows, Maggie (Kathryn Leigh Scott) disappeared from Collinsport Hospital.



1978: On Another World, Angie Perrini (Maeve Kinkead) married Otis "Vince" Frame (Jay Morran), the brother of the man she truly loved.

1980: On The Edge of Night, "Kirk Michaels" (Tony Craig) was hit by a car outside the hotel.



1992: On Days of our Lives, Brady Black was born.



1994: On General Hospital, Tony (Brad Maule) informed Frisco (Jack Wagner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) that Maxie's heart transplant was a success. Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) comforted Tony and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman). After a cold encounter with Tony, Bobbie was consoled by Damian Smith. Tony checked in on Maxie and listened to her new heart.

1995: At the 22nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winners included General Hospital (Drama Series, Writing), All My Children (Directing), Guiding Light's Justin Deas (Lead Actor), One Life to Live's Erika Slezak (Lead Actress), Guiding Light's Jerry verDorn (Supporting Actor), General Hospital's Rena Sofer (Supporting Actress), General Hospital's Jonathan Jackson (Younger Actor) and All My Children's Sarah Michelle Gellar (Younger Actress).

John Beradino
1996: John Beradino, best known to soap fans as Dr. Steve Hardy on General Hospital since the show premiered in 1963, died at age 79. He received three Emmy nominations for best actor in a daytime drama.

Beradino was born in Los Angeles and as a child appeared in the "Our Gang" comedies. A high school football and baseball star, he won a football scholarship to the University of Southern California in 1936 but switched to baseball a year later.

He joined the St. Louis Browns as an infielder in 1939, but his career was interrupted by four years with the Navy in World War II. On his return to baseball, he played second base and shortstop for the Browns, the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Pirates until a leg injury ended his career in 1953.

1998: On The Young and the Restless, Nina (Tricia Cast) wanted answers from Ryan (Scott Reeves).

2000: At the 27th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winners included General Hospital (Drama Series, Directing), General Hospital's Anthony Geary (Lead Actor), The Bold and the Beautiful' Susan Flannery (Lead Actress), The Young and the Restless' Shemar Moore (Supporting Actor), General Hospital's Sarah Brown, The Young and the Restless' David Tom (Younger Actor) and The Young and the Restless' Camryn Grimes (Younger Actress).

2001: Former daytime soap opera writer Pat Falken-Smith (Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Guiding Light, Ryan's Hope) died at age 75.
