Terrell Tilford has been tapped to play Leslie Michaelson's (Angell Conwell) new husband, Barton Shelton, on The Young and the Restless. After blowing off her engagement to Neil (Kristoff St. John) by saying marriage wasn't for her, Leslie met Barton on the internet and married him six weeks later.The casting call for Barton described the character as "an African-American doctor in his late 30s to early 40s, handsome, intelligent, and a highly capable surgeon."
Tilford has starred as Greg Evans in One Life to Live, David Grant in Guiding Light and, most recently, Sean Clarke in VH1's Single Ladies. His other TV apperances include roles in Days of our Lives, Soul Food and The Protector.
Tilford's first appearance on Y&R is cheduled for June 13.
Tilford is married to Victoria Platt (ex-Vicky, Guiding Light). The couple announced in March that they are expecting their first child together this summer.
