Sunday Night Ratings: RESURRECTION Remains Strong, Solid Start for CRISIS

The Sunday night Nielsen overnight ratings are in. Check out a round of reports below:

From NBC:
The premiere of CRISIS (1.6/4 in 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in 18-49 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period, nearly erasing a deficit of 1.6 rating points behind ABC during the prior hour, and won the 10 p.m. ET slot among those nets in adults 25-54, men 18-49 and men 25-54. CRISIS built on its 18-49 lead-in by 14%, while rival dramas on ABC and CBS are flat or down versus their lead-ins. Versus NBC’s non-sports averages in the time period last year, CRISIS is running within 0.2 of a point in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.8, L+SD) and in total viewers is up versus last season’s non-sports slot average by 20% (6.506 million vs. 5.424 million).

The 6.5 million for CRISIS in total viewers is NBC's biggest overall audience in the slot, excluding nights featuring sports or the Golden Globes, since Jan. 6, 2013 (a special Sunday premiere for THE BIGGEST LOSER). In 18-49, the 1.6 is NBC's best rating in the slot excluding nights of sports and Golden Globes since Jan. 5 of this year.

The regular-slot debut of BELIEVE (1.4/4 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) generated NBC’s biggest overall audience in the slot, excluding sports and the Golden Globes, since Jan. 6, 2013 (a special Sunday premiere of THE BIGGEST LOSER). In 18-49, the 1.4 rating is NBC’s top result in the hour excluding sports and Golden Globes since Jan. 5. Versus NBC’s non-sports averages in the time period last year, BELIEVE is running within 0.2 of a point in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.6, L+SD) and in total viewers is up versus last season’s non-sports slot average by 29% (6.505 million vs. 5.033 million).

From ABC:
ONCE UPON A TIME (8-9 p.m. – 7.5 million and 2.3/7 in AD18-49): Winning the 8 o’clock hour for the 2nd straight week in Adults 18-49, ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME held steady with its week-ago Fast Affiliate rating. The show was also steady with its year-ago performance (2.3/6 on 3/17/13). The ABC drama the #1 most social series on broadcast last night with 79,373 tweets.

RESURRECTION (9-10 p.m.m – 10.8 million and 3.0/8 in AD18-49): Building on its lead-in by 30% at 9 p.m. in Adults 18-49, ABC's RESURRECTION (3.0/8) more than doubled NBC's time-period premiere of BELIEVE (+114% - 1.4/4) in the hour, as well as CBS' THE GOOD WIFE (+131% - 1.3/3). RESURRECTION retained a strong 83% of its huge week-ago premiere Adult 18-49 Fast Affiliate rating. Excluding only last week’s big debut, the new show drew ABC’s largest series audience in the hour since May 2012 – since 5/13/12 with the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES finale.

REVENGE (10-11 p.m. – 6.2 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49): During the 10pm hour, ABC's REVENGE (1.7/5) was the #1 drama in its slot among Adults 18-49, beating NBC’s debut of Crisis by (+6% - 1.6/4) and CBS' THE MENTALIST (+31% - 1.3/4). REVENGE improved its hour year to year by 70% in Adults 18-49, over original drama programming on the same night last year (RED WIDOW = 1.0/3).
