Zac Garred lands US soap acting role in GENERAL HOSPITAL
"This is quite an auspicious team to be a part of," Garred told the Maitland Mercury. "My only previous soap was Home and Away and the work people put into these shows in incredible. We are shooting on a very famous lot and I am so lucky to join such an amazing show that has been running for 50 years."

Woodstock native Tom Lind a soap opera regular
Lind recently appeared on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and regularly plays a pilot on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

"The interesting thign about soap operas is I give a lot of credit to those actors because they have so many pages of dialogue, and you only get one or two takes. Stefano [played by Joseph Mascolo] and Deidre Hall [who plays Marlena], they’re both great, super friendly. They were a little intimidating to me, but they were very welcoming. I met Joe [Mascolo] in the hallway before we started shooting. He didn’t know I was working with him. We chatted for awhile, and I was like, ‘By the way, I’m working with you.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that’s great.’ After our scene, Deidre was like, ‘Hey, do you mind taking a photo with me?’ I was super flattered."

Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn on Alison Sweeney's upcoming departure from DAYS OF OUR LIVES
“When Alison Sweeney joined the show, she was such a wide-eyed kid and has taken over sort of the lead role on the show and works every day, and her scenes are long and complicated and demanding and she has just said, ‘My kids need me now, I can’t keep doing it,”’ said Hall.

“You can’t get that time back,” added Hogestyn. “All my kids, I watched them grow up in the bed. I’d come home and they’d all be asleep, I’d kiss their foreheads, I’d get three to four hours of sleep, I’d wake up and I’d kiss their foreheads again.”

CORONATION STREET legend Liz Dawn says only regret is not leaving the soap opera sooner
Emphysema forced Liz to retire eight years ago. Then 10 months ago Bill passed away at his holiday home in Tenerife. It was the end of an era. But despite her thousands of happy memories Liz, who is now 74, says her only regret is not leaving the Street sooner. For many years she had suffered in silence with emphysema so severe that even getting to work was a struggle. She was breathless and struggled to walk any distance without having to sit down. And when she was at work her fading memory meant she had to hide notes around the set with prompts for her lines.

"I wish I had left before," she says. "It was a bit of a struggle. Some days I would have to sit in the car for about 10 minutes before I had the energy to even start the engine. And then your memory goes. I used to have more and more notes on that table in the Duckworth’s living room. The cameramen used to tell me to move my notes off the sauce bottle or from under the sugar basin."

GLEE's New Directions Is Officially Over: What Does This Means For Matthew Morrison's Future on the Series?
GLEE is making a dramatic setting shift and will now solely focus on the New York City storylines. Many of the show's stars have already successfully made the move to NYC, and now recent WMHS graduates Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Artie (Kevin McHale) will join their fellow New Directions alumni in the Big Apple.

However, many fans are wondering what will happen to those left back in Lima, specifically with Will and his newly pregnant wife, Emma (Jayma Mays). And the answer is…they don't know either.

"I don't, I honestly don't," Morrison recently admitted to E! News' Kristin Dos Santos on the GLEE set. "I think I'll be there in the end in some way, whether it's the whole season or just the final episode, I think I'll be back." The 35-year-old actor added that although his time on the hit series has been 'incredible," Morrison is "looking forward to new challenges" in his career.

Jayma Mays doesn't expect to return to GLEE
"It is probably [the end] for me, for my character, but I'm not sure about the show itself," Mays said.

The actress continued her tirade for three hours. Her tweets coincided with the soap's 41st anniversary.

  1. If Ms. Sweeney wanted to be with her children, why wait until they are in school in the daytime, she should have stayed home from birth to first day of school!
