  2. So one source says the wedding is April 5 but this says differently that says alot that the NBC promo seems to give away a wedding. How many weddings in soap history have happened so soon after a proposal with something like 16 episodes Guy & Freddie have been since Feb 14 ironically 7 days after the wedding was filmed? Deidre you made a massive mistake posting selfies on February 9, 2 days after Freddie Smith's suit and tie tweet, you & Lauren Koslow were in the same wardrobe that day as you are for the wedding ceremony. So the only conclusion is that when Freddie Smith did an article which was released on another site about.com on December 24, 2013 claiming he hoped Will & Sonny would get married, the original wedding which was supposed to be filmed in December was postponed by a few weeks. Now after 8 weeks that it was filmed it is going to air next week and still there is confusion among the different blogs on what day it will actually air. Nice once NBC

    1. How could the wedding be "April 5" ?? That's a Saturday. ;-) The press here indicates it's a three-episode affair, which would be typical of many celebratory events on soaps like weddings, galas, anniversaries, memorials, etc. And obviously, NBC would (wisely) try to have the couple's fans tune-in to watch more than one episode to see the entire event. - jmho

  3. Wow! I cannot wait to attend their wedding. Days is ground-breaking! Some viewers oppose the gay SL and some say sponsors don't care about gays as a group because it's a small market share, but they miss the point: A gay SL brings in young viewers, and all soaps need young viewers to continue. Well done, Days! Congrats Sonny & Will!!!

  4. While I do think that Freddie Smith has more chemistry with Guy Wilson than he ever did with Chandler Massey, I think Sonny & Will are incredibly dull. The couple has been written so "sanitized" in a way to be palatable for conservative (read: homophobic) viewers. It's a watershed moment in daytime soap history that two gay characters will have marriage ceremony, the gay characters are not given the same "treatment" as the their heterosexual counterparts. I wish Sonny & Will weren't saddled with Gabi (read: BORING) and a baby so early into their relationship. They should have college and careers and affairs and intrigue and break-ups. Soapy drama!

    1. I agree. But just getting a gay couple on a US soap is so rarely and has been so badly done (think Y&R for a start). Only GL's Otalia has come close to Sonny & Will. I applaud Days for allowing Sonny and Will to kiss, etc. CBS/P&G never allowed Nuke (or SynDoctor) to do anything truly intimate (that was a different kind of sanitizing, and in my opinion, much worse). We'll eventually get gay characters in true soapy form, but right now we're lucky to get gay characters. Period. On US soaps. UK soaps CS and Hollyoaks have had gay characters for years and their characters are not living with one foot in the closet! So Days is ground-breaking with actual intimacy and a marriage to boot! Go Days!!!

    2. @PraiseGod.. Gotta love the gays on Hollyoaks, 'cuz for the most part they're just as morally grey as the rest of the village ..lol! .. I remember laughing out loud at that scene between Ste and John Paul a few months ago when they got into a fist fight after cataloging each other's "moral lapses" over the years, and wondered at the time, if we'd ever have gay characters like this on American daytime: John Paul vs. Ste

    3. ITA. I like John Paul, but I love Ste. Hollyoaks is awesomely addictive!!! Besides the gay characters, I was blown away when Grace manipulates Freddie to kill Mercedes! The writing is really good. I have been watching CS longer, but Hollyoaks really got me hooked (sadly unlike Emmerdale; I just couldn't get into it). I watch a healthy range of current and vintage soaps: Neighbours, Sons & Daughters, Home & Away, and a few others.

  5. Jordan was the prettiest girl at the wedding! Well maybe Adrianna was!
Sami dress was way to short for a grandma, and please do something with her hair straight isn’t becoming on her.
Abby is a beautiful girl but her hair today was hideous I didn’t even recognize her, she looks best in long flowing locks. There is a picture of Gabi, Sami, Marlena, Hope, and Kate sitting down, and I swear you could see Gabi’s and Sami’s underwear.
    Maggie was waaaaay to bright
Someone went crazy with a bedazzle gun on the girls dresses.
Abby and Gabi’s lipstick was outrageous, it was so red and bright that’s all you saw!
Rafe, Ben, Will, Sonny, Justin, Brady, Eric, T., JJ are all hunks all easy on the eyes, DAYS has the best looking male cast. .
