Thursday Night Ratings: PARENTHOOD Up, SCANDAL #1 Most Social TV Program

SCANDAL won the Adults 18-49 demo on Thursday night (March 6) and was the #1 most social TV program for the night. Check out a roundup of Thursday ratings reports below including the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings Daily Top 5:

From ABC:
ABC Thursday Prime (8-11 p.m. – 6.6 million and 2.1/6 in AD18-49): ABC finished a strong second on Thursday night in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6), outdelivering Fox by 40% (1.5/4) and NBC by 91% (1.1/3). For the 2nd week in a row, the Net ranked #1 on the night in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49).

ABC's SCANDAL (2.8/8) and GREY'S ANATOMY (2.6/7) were the Top 2 dramas of the night in Adults 18-49. In fact, SCANDAL is on track to finish as the week’s #1 broadcast drama.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND (8-9 p.m. – 3.1 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49): On its first telecast in 3 months (since 12/12/13) and facing AMERICAN IDOL for the first time, ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND returned with 100% retention of its last telecast in Adults 18-49. From 8-9 p.m., the ABC freshman drama outdrew NBC's comedies by 11% in Total Viewers (3.1 million vs. 2.8 million for COMMUNITY/PARKS AND RECREATION).

GREY'S ANATOMY (9-10 p.m. – 8.2 million and 2.6/7 in AD18-49): More than tripling its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 9pm (+225%), ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY (2.6/7) once again won its hour, leading its nearest competition by 18% (TWO AND A HALF MEN/THE CRAZY ONES = 2.2/6).

SCANDAL (10-11 p.m. – 8.4 million and 2.8/8 in AD18-49): Building on its Grey’s lead-in among Adults 18-49 at 10pm (+8%), ABC’s SCANDAL (2.8/8) dominated the final hour of the night, beating CBS Elementary by 65% (1.7/5) and NBC’s Parenthood by 133% (1.2/4). SCANDAL was Thursday’s #1 most social TV program (310,485 tweets).

PARENTHOOD (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 9% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1) and 6% in total viewers (3.801 million vs. 3.591 million). From its first half-hour to its second, PARENTHOOD maintained its rating in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.2) and adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.4) and grew 1% in total viewers, despite the 10 p.m. hour. In the time period, PARENTHOOD is tied for #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 (1.0 rating) and #2 outright among those nets in women 18-34 (1.4)

· L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous PARENTHOOD grew by 82% or 0.91 of a rating point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 ratings (to a 2.02 from a 1.11) and by 2.1 million viewers overall (to 5.7 million from 3.6 million).
