How the Daytime Soap Came Back From the Dead
Tim Teeman from The Daily Beast writes: "It’s the best soap arc itself: from the jaws of death—the number of daytime soaps on air has shrunk from 12 in 1998 to 4 today—to vivacious life, with the current quartet commanding impressive audiences and fierce loyalty."

"After a flood of cancellations, the critics crowed the daytime soap was finished. In fact, the surviving quartet have just been renewed and are enjoying increased audiences. Who's watching, and why?"

DAYS is seeking an actor to play someone who sounds like a cross between EJ and Chad. "Fletcher" is described as a 25 to 32 year old "GORGEOUS CAUCASIAN MALE. Must be at least 6'. Confident, Charismatic, powerful, dynamic. His dry wit and breathtaking looks make him irresistible to the ladies. He is a master in the boardroom and bedroom. Men want to be him. Underneath it all though, is a good man with a heart of gold." The role is contract.

Walt Willey: Soap star gone 'WILD'
Willey’s discovery in 2011 that he and "Wild Bill" Hickok grew up in towns a mere 40 miles apart sparked an interest that led to 12 months of research and writing and culminated in his one-man show, "Wild Bill! An Evening with James Butler Hickok," which he performs Friday through Sunday, Feb. 7-9, at the Island Theater Company on Marco Island.

William Roache 'is guilty of the sex attacks or his five accusers are all mad'
In her closing speech at the actor’s trial for alleged rape and indecent assault, Anne Whyte, QC, prosecuting, said it would be a remarkable coincidence if five women from across Britain had all invented sexual allegations against Britain’s longest serving soap star.

She told the jury unless Roache was guilty the only other explanation was that all the alleged victims “must be mad”.

  2. They really need to diversify the cast of DAYS a bit more - pretty soon it's gonna be all blonde women and white guys with dark hair.
