Writer Mann Rubin Dead at 86

Writer Mann Rubin has died at the age of 86. The scribe passed away in West Hills, California, over the weekend after a long illness.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Rubin was known for his work on 1950s shows TALES OF TOMORROW, JUSTICE and CLIMAX!

He went on to pen episodes of many popular shows including DYNASTY, KNOTS LANDING, PERRY MASON, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN and HOTEL. He served as executive story editor during the fourth season of KNOTS LANDING.

He also wrote the screenplay for the 1959 movie The Best Of Everything. ABC's 1970 daytime soap opera, THE BEST OF EVERYTHING, was based on the film and the original novel of the same name.
