Sneak Peek: WHEN CALLS THE HEART with Lori Loughlin, Maggie Grace, Jean Smart & Stephen Amell

Based on Janette Oke’s bestselling Canadian West book series, the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, WHEN CALLS THE HEART premieres on Saturday, October 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART is the story of Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom post in a small prairie town in the western frontier led by two strong coal miner widows, Abigail Stanton and Frances Tunnecliffe. Set against the wild canvas of a 19th century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west.

The Hallmark Channel Original Movie is a precursor to the next Hallmark Channel Original Primetime Series and features three-time Emmy Award-winner Jean Smart (DESIGNING WOMEN), Lori Loughlin (FULL HOUSE, THE EDGE OF NIGHT), Maggie Grace (LOST), Stephen Amell (ARROW), Daniel Sharman (TEEN WOLF) and newcomer Poppy Drayton.

Lori Loughlin will continue her role in the series along with Erin Krakow (ARMY WIVES) and Daniel Lissing (LAST RESORT) who round out the cast of the series set to premiere January 2014.
