Former ABC Daytime soap opera LOVING is back! At least it was on Thursday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL. Luke (Anthony Geary) and Holly (Emma) arrived at an abandoned mansion as they continued to track Jerry Jacks. It was soon revealed they were in a "small town in Pennsylvania" that had once been in the news because of "The LOVING Murders." It was the Alden mansion from LOVING!
Luke and Holly knew the story well and there was even a "figure it out" reference. Holly stated that Gwyneth Alden "wiped out pretty much all of her friends and family in some twisted attempt to wipe away their pain." Holly held a picture of Gwyneth (Christine L. Tudor) while they discussed the storyline that ended LOVING's run. The survivors moved to New York in spin-off series THE CITY.
Luke soon discovered a bookcase that was moved in front of a hidden door. There were two photos left on the shelves: Cabot Alden (Wesley Addy)...
...and Trisha Alden (Noelle Beck).
Luke and Holly moved the bookcase and discovered the hidden door was locked (of course). As their story ended for the day Luke attempted to kick in the door.
Will there be more references to LOVING on Friday? Will Laura Wright, who played Ally on LOVING (or Roger Howarth as Kent), get in on the fun? And does GH villain Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), who crossed over to LOVING in 1993, have anything to do with this? Stay tuned.
