Roerig, who also played Casey Hughes in AS THE WORLD TURNS, is locked in a legal battle with a woman named Alanna Turner for full custody of their 2-year-old daughter. According to documents obtained by TMZ, now that Turner has been sentenced to Federal prison for "various crimes," Roerig is seeking full custody of their child.

There are more similarities between characters in EASTENDERS and THE ARCHERS than the radio show's fans like to admit, a former editor has claimed, because each has “Dickensian” characters with exaggerated traits.
“It’s Dickensian – you take one aspect of a character and you enlarge it and very slightly you heighten it," said John Yorke, who has worked on both soaps.
“What fascinates me is how often the key to a character is in conflicts. At the heart of every great character, all the way from Antigone [in Greek mythology] to the modern day, is a character riven with contrary impulses. It kind of works like an engine in which that conflict, that neurosis, is resolved.”
