Wright is shooting her final scenes this week, with her last moments on screen due to air in October. Wright first appeared on the BBC soap as Jean Slater in late 2004, before being made a regular member in 2007.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS Mom, Nia Peeples, Reveals Her Ultimate Beauty Secret: Love Yourself
Peeples said she had seen too many women measure themselves against picture-perfect images of TV characters, and she felt compelled to change the conversation about beauty.

“I just felt like this is really disingenuous. I felt like there needs to be a conversation about redefining beauty,” said Peeples, who was included among People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People in 2008. “Health and beauty is not just about what you apply. If you don’t have it together on the inside, then nothing else is going to matter.”

CW Boss: Netflix Is Really, Really Important to Our Business Model
As a network, the CW loses money, since its overall low ratings bring in only modest ad revenue. But as Mark Pedowitz explained to reporters Tuesday at the TV Critics Association press tour, CW shows such as SUPERNATURAL and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES are actually very profitable thanks in no small part to a deal with Netflix that yields millions of dollars in extra revenue for the streaming rights to each season of those shows.

So what would happen if, as it recently did with Viacom, Netflix decided it no longer wanted to be the CW's streaming sugar daddy? Pedowitz said he believed the CW would survive "in some form," with another subscription video on demand service (such as Amazon Prime or Hulu Plus) making a deal for the CW's programming pipeline.

The CW Puts Flash on Fast Track, Hits Pause on Wonder Woman, Lets Fly With Big Arrow Spoiler
The DC Comics hero Flash is, fittingly, on the fast-track to get his own series on The CW, it was announced Tuesday morning at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour.

“We plan to introduce… the origin story of Dr. Barry Allen” — one of Flash’s multiple alter egos across DC lore — during Season 2 of ARROW, network boss Mark Pedowitz explained. Hoping to firm up The CW’s footing in the DC universe, “We felt this was a very organic way to get there.”

REIGN Star Adelaide Kane on Her Show: 'It's Not the History Channel'
The CW is turning its lens on history with period drama REIGN, the untold story of Mary Queen of Scots and her rise to power.

The series follows Mary's (Adelaide Kane) rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis (Toby Regbo), with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. The drama is described as the secret history of survival in the French Court amid fierce foes, dark forces and a world of sexual intrigue.

"In each episode, we'll educate people on what element of history helps our story," executive producer Laurie McCarthy told reporters Tuesday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour. "There is a certain amount of latitude in terms of dramatizing events."

Lifetime Orders Marti Noxon Drama Pilot UNREAL Based On Indie Short ‘Sequin Raze’
Marti Noxon and Shapiro wrote UNREAL, which goes behind-the-scenes of a hit competition dating show to follow the experiences of a young staffer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with (and among) the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage the program’s producers demand. What ensues is a humorous, yet vexing, look at what happens in the world of unscripted television, where being a contestant can be vicious and producing it is a whole other reality.

Joe Dempsie remembers the SKINS legacy, Chris and screaming fans
"Skins was such a nuts period in my life and for everyone involved. None of us expected it to kick off in the way that it did. I think only now, with the return of some of the old characters for the new series, we can take a step back from it all and realize quite how much people did love that show and how much they loved the characters."

Michael B. Jordan Tells Bill Simmons: I'm Making a Basketball-Themed TV Show
It's unclear whether the series would follow a high school, college or professional basketball team.

"I just think Detroit is such an interesting city. The automotive industry kind of destroyed that town when they went away and started outsourcing jobs and stuff like that. We'll talk," joked Jordan, who grew up in Newark, N.J., and considers himself a fan of Michigan State's basketball program.
