On this date in...

1966: On DARK SHADOWS, David (David Henesy) became nervous when Constable Carter investigated Roger's crash.



1975: TOMORROW with Tom Synder featured a guest star lineup from daytime soaps including Bryna Laub, Joseph Stuart, Agnes Nixon, and Mary Stuart.







1981: On ANOTHER WORLD, Hannah (Madelon Thomas) and Lenny (MODERN FAMILY's Ed O'Neill) held Jamie (Richard Bekins) hostage at the Cory cabin.



1981: On GUIDING LIGHT, Kelly (John Wesley Shipp) blasted Nola (Lisa Brown) for her lies.



1983: On ALL MY CHILDREN, Angie (Debbi Morgan) asked her parents to consider raising her baby as their own.



1999: On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Carly (Sarah Brown) interrupted Monica's (Leslie Charleson) toast and welcomed Chloe to the family on behalf of Lila and the rest of the Quartermaines.

2000: Former soap star Val Dufour (John, SEARCH FOR TOMORROW; Walter, ANOTHER WORLD; Andre, THE EDGE OF NIGHT) died at age 73. He won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series in 1977.

2003: Actor and comedian Bob Hope died at age 100.   His 1985 special, BOB HOPE'S COMEDY SALUTE TO THE SOAPS, featured Deidre Hall, Peter Reckell, Joan Van Ark and Diahann Carroll.

2011: Jessica Collins debuted as Avery Clark in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.
