CBS Leads All Networks With A Combined 21 Wins At The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

CBS led all networks with a combined 21 wins at "The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards" broadcast and creative ceremonies this weekend. THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime’s #1 show and the longest-running game show in television history, won its sixth Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show, and CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD, television’s #1 Sunday morning news program, won its first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program.

Other top wins included Outstanding Lead Actor Doug Davidson of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (his first win in his 38 year career on the show), and an Outstanding Lead Actress win for THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Heather Tom, her fifth overall.

Scott Clifton of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and Billy Miller of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS tied for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL picked up awards for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing.

In addition, game show icon Monty Hall of the original LET’S MAKE A DEAL was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by the current host, Wayne Brady.
