Tuc Watkins was a guest on MARIE on Monday and was happy to show off his twins, son Curtis (left) and daughter Catchen (right), which he had recently via surrogate. Watkins' sister, Courtney, who was also a guest on the show, suggested the name "Catch" which he loved. Curtis was a family name.
"A lot of people at some point in their lives think, 'Am I going to be a parent? Do I want to be a parent?'" Watkins explained to Marie. "And when I was young, I knew three things: I knew I was gay, I knew one day I was gonna be a dad, and I knew that Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was going to be the best movie of all time. So far, I've been right about all three."
Watkins signed up for a "Bringing Home Multiples" class at the Pump Station in Los Angeles. When he called to sign up they asked, "Will you be bringing your wife?"
He answered, "Nope, I'm a single gay dude. I'm doing this by myself."
The lady on the phone then replied, "Oh honey, you're going to need a lot of help. I'm putting you in front row."
