Watch The Original Unaired THREE'S COMPANY Pilot

Sitcom THREE'S COMPANY premiered March 15, 1977 on ABC. Joyce DeWitt played Janet and Suzanne Somers played Chrissy, the roommates of John Ritter's Jack Tripper character. Over the weekend, the original (and unaired) pilot for the show was posted on YouTube. It features two other actresses in the lead roles--Suzanne Zenor as aspiring actress Samantha, and Valerie Curtin as DMV worker Jenny. Ritter is still there but playing David Bell, an aspiring filmmaker who just happens to be a great cook. Norman Fell and ANOTHER WORLD alum Audra Lindley also star as The Ropers.

Zenor would join the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in September 1977 as Margo, a role she would have likely never taken had she remained in THREE'S COMPANY.

Check it out below:

Zenor was married to her DAYS co-star Edward Mallory until his death in 2007.

  1. That was pretty hilarious. Of course I love what it turned into as we'll. And I miss John Ritter. Suzanne Zenor and Audra Lindley are funny as well

  2. Passed out in his 'Winnie the Pooh' outfit?
10 years ago, I passed out while I was playing the Easter Bunny for a shopping mall photo kiosk.
One little girl said 'Look mommy! The Easter Bunny is dead!
