Actress and model Laura Harrier will play the role of Destiny Evans in ONE LIFE TO LIVE when the show returns (April 29 on The Online Network, available on Hulu, HuluPlus and iTunes). The character of Destiny gave birth to a son, Drew Buchanan, on the show's network series finale. We Love Soaps spoke with Harrier about the return of ONE LIFE TO LIVE and where Destiny is now in a brand new interview from the set in Stamford, Connecticut. Read it below:

WE LOVE SOAPS: Where are you from?
LAURA HARRIER: I grew up in Chicago, but I've been in New York for about five years.

WE LOVE SOAPS: Had you watched ONE LIFE TO LIVE before?
LAURA HARRIER: I wasn't a big viewer but my grandmother was a huge ONE LIFE TO LIVE fan. My grandma and aunt are freaking out that it's coming back and I'm on it. They're super excited.

WE LOVE SOAPS: What can you tell us about what's going on with Destiny?
LAURA HARRIER: Destiny has a lot going on. She's a mom, she's working, and she's doing to school. She's trying to have this balancing act in her life with number one being a good mom, which she is. She's trying to keep everything together, be centered and be there for Drew.

WE LOVE SOAPS: It sounds like a story viewers can relate to.
LAURA HARRIER: A lot of people have these issues so it does feel very modern and current and fresh.

WE LOVE SOAPS: What's that old saying, "Never work with children or animals"? What has it been like working with baby Drew?
LAURA HARRIER: I love it. Definitely everything takes longer when you're working with a baby because he doesn't know what's going on. So I've just been trying to hang out with them as much as possible so they are comfortable with me. They're super cute little boys.

WE LOVE SOAPS: So they rotate them in various scenes?
LAURA HARRIER: Yes, they're twins.

WE LOVE SOAPS: What has been your favorite thing so far about this experience?
LAURA HARRIER: Just working with the cast. Everyone is so amazing and kind and welcoming. I can't believe this is happening, and being here with these people. We've all become good friends--Kelly, Rob, Corbin, Andrew and me. It's fun to hang out with everybody. And the older cast as well. I've learned so much from the scenes I've been doing with them, and talking to them.

I've been acting for a while but this is my first series regular role. This will be the first time a very wide audience will see me.
